Symbiocats

You're playing as a crazy cat lady who has an uncontrollable need to collect cats to curb her anxiety. When she doesn't have cats, her anxiety increases. The only way to lower her anxiety is to have more cats in her life! But, too much of a good thing isn't quite as good, however. The more cats she collects, the faster her anxiety raises and her need for more cats increases. Candy helps, unless its caffeinated, but only for so long...

Made for the OpenGameArt Summer Game Jam 2025 under the theme of Symbiosis.

🎮 How to Play

------------------------

-Left/Right Arrow Keys, A/D Keys: Move left/right

-Space, Up Arrow, W: Jump

-Pick up cats to ease anxiety, but the more you collect the faster your anxiety raises

-If your anxiety bar completely fills, it's game over!

-Collect Red chocolate to reduce your anxiety meter's fill speed

-Collect Purple chocolate to get a speed boost, but increase your anxiety fill speed
